What is your adopt-a-pet program?faqarrow
If you adopt a pet we offer 20% off your first purchase. To qualify for the discount we ask that you supply us with documentation provided to you from the adoption agency. We are not able to extend this discount to food, treats, special orders or sale items.
Do you sell wholesale?faqarrow

How do I measure my pet?faqarrow
For sizing please refer to our diagram or give us a call at 804-288-3674. We are available to answer any questions and assist you in helping to find the correct size for your pet.

What is your shipping policy?faqarrow
Our shipping fee is $9 within the United States excluding Hawaii and Alaska. There is an additional fee for heavy and oversized items. Items are shipped via UPS signature required unless another preferred shipping method is requested. If you will not be there to receive your order please leave instructions for the driver or have items shipped to your place of work or business. for the love of pete! cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged goods. Due to the size of our business we cannot offer free shipping at this time.

We require an additional $25 to ship outside of the US. We will contact you after your order is placed if additional charges are required. Items such as beds and feeders have an additional shipping charge. Most international orders sent directly by for the love of pete! are shipped via UPS and will usually arrive within our standard two week delivery time, but may take additional time for delivery. Thank you in advance for your patience.

What if my pet needs a special size or I can't find what I am looking for?faqarrow
We are able to accomodate many shapes and sizes. Due to the availability and uniqness of our inventory many of the items we have in our store are not featured on our website. Please contact us with your special request. Many of our items can be made to accomodate your pet's needs. faqarrowWhat if I need to change or cancel an order?
If you need to cancel your order please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it within 24 hours of your ordering being placed. After 24 hours we are able to offer you a store credit or exchange. It is important that you measure you pet carefully prior to placing your order. Custom orders are a final sale and cannot be changed. Please include all contact information in email correspondence.

In the email correspondence please provide all you contact information. We allow one exchange per customer. After the one exchange there will be shipping charges and a 20% restocking fee. Returns are for store credit or exchange. We do not refund shipping charges.

What if my package cannot be delivered?faqarrow
For packages that are undeliverable we will make every attempt to contact the customer. If we are not able to communicate with the customer after multiple atempts, the customer will be charged a 20% restocking fee plus any additional shipping charges we incur. Please review your order and make sure the shipping address is correct. We will not accept responsibility for any undeliverable packages.

What is your re-pete program?faqarrow
re-pete! is our recycle/consignment program. Bring us your pet's gently worn collars, harnesses, leads or apparel and we sell it for you. If the items does not sell within a 30 day period we will happily donate the item(s) or they may be picked up. Please refer to our downloadable form if interested in participating in this program. What type of pet food do you sell?faqarrow
We carry Natura brand pet food which includes California Natural, Innova, Karma and Evo. In addition to those we carry SOJOS, Sammy Snacks and Solid Gold. None of the foods we carry were included in the recall. We welcome suggestions and requests and are happy to special order a brand for you, if available.
